Plasma rejuvenation

Skin rejuvenation is the most popular area of modern cosmetic cosmetology. In addition, today, more and more often, preference is given to non-invasive progressive exposure methods (without violating the integrity of the skin) and even without contact. And one of the innovative and effective methods is plasma rejuvenation (non-surgical plastic).

plasma skin resurfacing procedure

Most, if not all, types of skin renewal are based on the principle of controlled skin damage, triggering the regeneration process, which ultimately leads to a decrease in the visible signs of aging. The plasma method works the same way, but with a few tricks.

First, the active ingredient, plasma, is a high-energy ionized gas. Second, the nitrogen used is chemically inert and suppresses tissue burning, displacing the oxygen needed for the oxidation process. As a result, the layers of the skin are damaged by plasma (due to heating, division and evaporation), but they do not burn as under the action of ablative lasers, therefore no open wounds are formed. This approach reduces the risk of side effects such as scarring, infection, and discoloration.

What to expect from plasma rejuvenation

Reduction of existing age-related changes, prevention of their progression and early onset. The procedure has a pronounced lifting effect (due to "evaporation" of the skin flap), softens the relief of the skin by reducing the depth of dynamic and static wrinkles, smoothes the course of natural folds, improves and evens the tone of the skin. In addition, the result not only appears shortly after the start of the course of treatment, but also gradually increases over several months. The greatest effect can be expected after about 3 months.

But it should not be forgotten that physiological hormonal changes during pregnancy affect the state of the skin and can change the effectiveness of the procedure.

How is the procedure performed?

Plasma facial rejuvenation does not require special training, prior adherence to a diet, or changes in the usual way of life. But a few days before the session, it is advisable not to use aggressive scrubs and peels, visit a solarium, and people with a tendency to allergic reactions should not try new products and cosmetics.

When using the device, even patients with a low pain threshold do not need local anesthesia. The healing / rejuvenation session lasts 15-30 minutes, its duration depends on the severity of the problem and the area of the treated area.

The patient is seated in a cosmetology chair or sofa, and the specialist performing the procedure, without contact, directs a pulsating current or plasma stream from the tip of the device onto her skin. At the same time, it is possible to choose the most suitable mode of operation for a given patient. The session usually begins with a pre-treatment of the skin to prepare it for stronger after effects and to reduce the intensity of the sensations experienced. Once the procedure is finished, it is not necessary to apply the treated area. For the next 3 days, it is advisable to refrain from scrubs, scrubs, visits to the beach and solarium.

The recommended number of procedures is 1 to 2 procedures per year.
